The central catalogue of Downtown Public Library in Cracow includes the purchases since September 2000 as well as the whole of gatherings of Main Library and Branches No. 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 14 and 17.

Catalogue makes possible booking and ordering books
Reservation - makes possible putting aside for concrete reader
any accessible ( in given moment ) copy of indicated catalogue position.
Confirmation of reservation identifying reader and copy IOU is printed.
Booking - to reserve a book, which is unavailable at this time (due to being lent out or in processing)..
In hours of opening of lending library the possibility of reservation is blocked.
Principles of reservation and ordering books
1. Every reader of Main Library and Branches 3, 4, 6, 9, 10, 14 and 17 has the right to order and reserve.
2. In hours of opening of lending shop the possibility of reservation is blocked.
3. Booking and ordering position of catalogue is possible by www of library
or by custome's special service in dealt out places in library.
4. When reader wants to book or to order the given copy of book,
chooses link "Reserve the copy" or "Order publication", which is next to bibliographic description.
Then in aim to authorize this operation reader starts to log in.
5. User can log in by application one's surname and name (like it is registered in library base) or by number of library card.
Log in has to be confirmed with password: for the first time the password is given by the librarian,
than every reader should alter the password.
6. User is obliged to receipt accessible book in 3 days.
7. In case of breach of deadline book turn,
the possibility of reservation and orders becomes blocked.
8. It is impossible to prolong deadline book turn in case,
when next reader is waiting for lent position.
9. Library has the right to dismiss reservation and order book for independent reasons.
